![]() A brave hero of Moss lead the survivors of the invasion to safety with the help of another champion, this one from the normally-reclusive forest sprites. A generation or so ago, the land was invaded by a terrible evil that killed the king in search of the source of his power, a glass relic, before threatening to destroy all life living within the nearby town. Upon opening the book, a narrator begins telling the tale of the world of Moss and how it came to ruin. Taking place in a cavernous library-like room, the player is placed before a book sharing the game’s title. Like some of the other games that we have reviewed over the course of this series, Moss utilizes a very sophisticated title screen. Moss places the player in the role of a “Reader”, and in fact the game's opening sequence makes this plainly clear. Currently, the game can be found on all platforms for under $20 with the exception of the Oculus Quest where the game still shows its normal $30 price tag. In all, the game supports Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift-S, HTC Vive, Windows mixed reality, and Playstation VR head-mounted displays. Since then, the game has been released for PC on both the Steam and Oculus platforms as well. It's an older title that I recall being touted alongside the release of PlayStation VR a few years ago. Moss is an action-adventure puzzle title from developer and publisher Polyarc. A mouse goes on a quest, because it's Moss. ![]()
